Columbus Day: Sherry and the Americas

  • Mockingbird Hill 1843 7th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

When Christopher Columbus loaded up his ships and headed out to discover the New World, along with food, guns and ammunition, he brought barrels upon barrels of sherry. Sherry was, in all likelihood, the first wine to be brought to the Americas, so come drink some history with us this Columbus Day. We’ll have a special cocktail, plus a flight of some sea-worthy sherries.
