Sherry pairs well with pretty much everything, even classic horror tales. The Cask of Amontillado, one of Edgar Allen Poe’s stories about a man getting walled in with a cask of Amontillado sherry, is close to our hearts for obvious reasons (although we can think of worse fates than being locked up with a whole cask of sherry).

We're celebrating Halloween at Mockingbird Hill by honoring the king of macabre, Poe, with $6 Alexandro Amontillado sherry all night, and 28 Sherries Later, our sherried twist on the classic Zombie cocktail. We’ll also have a toast to Edgar Allen Poe, including an adaptation of The Cask of Amontillado by director/actress Kerry McGee of We Happy Few Productions at 7 p.m. Stop in early to pre-game Halloween with ravens, bloodied hearts and plenty of sherry.
